Lakeland "Wee" Are ER Preschool
Our preschool, for 3-4 year olds, provides our youngest learners the opportunity to create, explore, think and reason in environments that are nurturing, respectful, engaging and fun. Early childhood is where a life time of success begins!
Lakeland offers two Great Start Readiness Programs (GSRP) Preschool classrooms as state-funded preschool programs that provide quality programming for 4-year-olds. We are also now offering tuition-based (fee) programming for 3 year olds! Which will be combined with one of our GSRP classrooms to offer a 3/4 split classroom. In order to prepare your child for kindergarten we focus on all aspects of child development. In addition to learning social/emotional skills through play and daily interactions, we also incorporate math, literacy, language, science, and social studies aspects throughout our day. We recognize parents as the child’s first teacher, and work with families in order to ensure each child has a positive learning experience.
For 4 year old GSRP students:
- Must be 4 years old by December 1st
- FREE full time programming
- Required 5 DAYS - Monday-Friday
- Follows school calendar 2026-2027
- Outdoor play
- Play-based learning
- Breakfast and lunch included
- High quality teaching staff
For 3 year old tuition-based students (classroom will be 3-4 yr old split):
- Must be 3 years old by September 1st and fully toilet trained
- Daily Rate $50.00, $100 registration fee.
- 3 day minimum attendance. (Half day options are available, but charged at the daily rate).

A Sample of our Daily Activities
- Acquaintance time and free choice play
- Core Knowledge Language Arts® (CKLA®)
- Introduction to Spanish
- Circle time (including weather, letters and colors)
- Outdoor play on large school playground
- Indoor gym classes
- Small group activities
- Nutritious snack and drink (milk or juice) provided for half and full day (child needs to bring their own lunch or purchase a school lunch)
- Craft time
- Manipulatives and games

- Variety of creative art using different mediums
- Experiences to encourage self-help skills
- Individual and group reading
- Activities that build creative thinking skills
- Dramatic play
- Daily quiet-rest time which is approximately 30-60 minutes for full day students (washable mats provided, parent supplies bedding)
