Principal's Message

Dear Lakeland Families/Friends,

Welcome to the Lakeland Elementary School website!  I hope our updated website better meets the needs of our school wide community.  At Lakeland our Mission Statement reads, “We are lifelong learners working to build a more peaceful world!”  On a daily basis we accomplish this “mission” through a special group of professionals, students, volunteers and community members.

Serving as principal at Lakeland since 2009, I am very proud of many of our accomplishments!  Some of these include; our achievement of a world-recognized Primary Years Programme school from the International Baccalaureate Organization, our one-one iPad initiative for all students, our RTI program in math/language arts, that we consistently rank as a regional leader on state testing, our updated language arts/mathematics/social-emotional resources, our staff’s focus on becoming a trauma-informed school and the recent remodeling/safety enhancements throughout our facility.
