Elk Rapids School District is located in beautiful northwest, lower Michigan. Twenty miles north of Traverse City, Elk Rapids lies on the point where the Chain of Lakes meets Lake Michigan. The District includes 25 miles of Lake Michigan shoreline and 50 miles of inland waterway shoreline. The physical size of the District encompasses 128.6 square miles.
