Well-known educator Lon Watters said, "A school is a building that has four walls with tomorrow inside."  That "tomorrow" has unlimited potential to change the world but needs the inspiration and skills to succeed. 

Funds raised at the We Are E.R.! Dinner & Auction are used to invest in educational excellence, inside and outside the "four walls" in order to prepare our students to be the leaders of tomorrow.

Your help and support are needed more now than ever.  The state budget cuts to education present a huge challenge but they are not an excuse to provide anything less than world-class educational excellence.  That is Elk Rapids' tradition and we're not about to change that.

Through the We Are E.R.! Dinner & Auction, we hope to raise the funds to:

• Pay the annual bond loan for the renovated athletic complex
• Invest in the International Baccalaureate program
• Offer Global Languages in all buildings and at all grade levels
• Support our teachers by providing needed resources and supplies

At Elk Rapids Schools, our focus must continue to be on making the investments that will provide our students with the skills they need to succeed in the 21st Century.  These skills include technology, communication, problem-solving, innovation, collaboration, creativity, community service and global awareness.
