The Young Actor’s Workshop

Tuesdays, starting February 2^nd

Ages 10 through 17

Cherryland Middle School, Elk Rapids, Art Room #116

Middle School and High School students attend from 3:00 - 5:00pm.

There will be four classes per month. The cost is $40 per month.*

Elementary school students attend class from 4:00 - 5:30pm.

There will be four classes per month.  The cost is $36 per month.*

The Actor’s Workshop

Mondays & Thursdays, starting February 1st

Ages 18 and older

Monday and Thursday Evenings from 7 – 9pm, beginning Monday,

February 1^st, 2010

There will be eight classes held each month.  The cost per month is $75*

The Young Actor’s Workshop and The Actor’s Workshop are ongoing monthly acting workshops for ages 10 through adult.  The workshop will focus on television and film acting with an emphasis on audition techniques including:

            - Cold reading” technique.                      -Various industry acting methods

            -How to interview                                        -Getting an agent

            -Headshots and Resumes                       -Marketing yourself

            -Voice Over techniques and working in the voice over industry

This is a class for those who are serious about learning and/or improving their acting skills.  It is designed to prepare the actor to pursue work within the film and television/commercial industry.

Students may attend on a monthly basis. The Young Actor’s program will run through the end of the calendar school year at Cherryland and then a new venue will be announced for those who wish to continue. Adult program will run through the end of the calendar year.
